1. Add sweet potato chunks to large saucepan. Cover sweet potatoes with water and bring to boil.
2. Boil 15 minutes or until sweet potatoes pierce easily with fork.
3. Drain sweet potatoes in colander and set aside.
4. Heat canola oil in large skillet over medium low heat. Add onions and sauté until onions caramelize and turn golden brown.
5. Place sweet potatoes and onions in food processor. Add salt, pepper and cloves. Pulse until desired consistency.
